Few people have mentioned on fixed ball towbars like mine, the ball can cover the number plate, it does a little. Hard to tell from that photo.

As for mot time i will simply remove the arm which hold the ball on, not sure if the police are fussy enough to stop you for this type of thing but time will tell.

my tow bar covers my number plate its massive, ive never had a problem being pulled tho

ours has a spaced numberplate - can still be made legally in scotland I've been told

Exellent read ! just recently joined the site,im looking into a jimny in the next couple of months with some similar type of mods for some off road fun ! good to see there's a few people in the northeast
