I've had a series 3, lightweight V8, and a fiat engined Lada Niva,, and, have had the use of defenders, range rovers , discos and shoguns, now on my 2nd Jimny. Would like another Niva as i loved it, but cannot
imagine life without a Jimny :woohoo: :woohoo:

Welcome back dear Sir!

That's possibly my favourite colour combination on a JimJam!

I have my own views on Defenders but what did you not like about having one?

What was the spec of your old Jimny? What did you like about that spec and what did you not like? Perhaps add what you liked and then change what you didn't like, taking advise on here about alternatives if required.

Thank you :)

Maybe iv been a little harsh on my poor old defender. I think because mine was so heavily modified (did i really need 35s on it??) It made it horrible to drive. Iv driven standard defenders to and yes its a little cramped and a bit bumpy but they are an icon. Would i have another? Only if it was newer and standard......and cheap.

Jim wise the only thing i wasnt hugely keen on was the soft top....and this ones a hard top so thats sorted that haha.
I do prefer a wider stance which is why i fitted 32mm spacers to my old one but i just had endless bearing issues.
