Greetings everyone, Great Jimny forum you have here. I just thought I'd chime in and show my wife's new little JB23W. It's a neat little car and will be getting new paint (Mazda Spirited Green) at the end of the week. It's got a 40mm lift right now but I will be adding a 3 inch lift in the near future. I'm not new to the 4wd scene as I have been a long time LandCruiser 70 and 80 Series owner. That's my HDJ81 below. I also have the little Terios kid (beside the Jimny) rigged for softcore offroading. Love the Jimny though...

Cheers,

Chris

Sure thing Gary. Happy to help. I've been here for 20 years so I know my way around parts acquisition. Also, about half of our wheeling group are knowledgeable Jimny drivers with nicely built rigs.

Well, the JB23 just got back from the paint shop....Mazda Demio Spirited Green paint. It's the wife's car so she had the say in the paint. There are few others around Japan with this custom color and I think it looks pretty good. I still have to put on a few items like skid plate, sport muffler, and a 3 inch lift package that should arrive this week... up from the 40mm lift on it now.

Looks exceptional - I love the clean lines.

The colour is certaintly different to what we see on the Irish/UK roads.

What size tyres are you running.

Ya..the colour is a little jarring alright but looks pretty good going down the road. Lots of thumbs up from other Jimny drivers. That's probably about every fifth car in Japan....seriously...!!
These tires are Yokohama Geolander MT 185/85r/16.... The standard "legal" JB23 off road tire although 195 Toyo's will fit with a 1cm over fender. They are more than good enough considering the amount of wheeling this Jimny is going to see. I made a deal with her...I'll pay for the paint but as soon as you ding it....I'm taking it off road.
