I fitted and outside temp sensor today

The one thing I missed a lot on my jimny was not having an external temp display. So I tracked one down on eBay and it works well



Ran the sensor through the wiring boot at the door hinge and up to the nearside mirror. To ease fitting I took the mirror off and fed the sensor beyond the rubber seal and down to the mirror hinge. There is an existing drain hole that I enlarged a fraction to allow the sensor to fit, but I did drill a new drain hole alongside.

just curious as to whether anyone knows where most car temp sensors are actually fitted ?

how does the mirror assembly actually come to bits ?

I like this type as it shows the battery charge, the sensor I threaded below the carpet & stuck it to the door hinge seems to work well & is protected from knocking .. :whistle:

Did you hard wire it in??
