Kingpin bearings replaced:
I doubt these have ever been replaced the passenger side was perfectly fine but it was replaced anyway and driver side was worn badly. The steering has settled down a lot less jumpy. Bought these from the bigjimny shop so I knew I had the correct quality part.
Steering damper:
I got this from the bits4vits shop they are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. With the damper fitted it does dampen down the steering movement slightly, noticeable over bad road surfaces.
Engine oill changed. Well it had been 7 months so I like to do this regularly and keep the little engine well protected.
Today I had the tracking checked and all is well. The steering wheel has always sat slightly to the left so I will check the steering box tie rod.
Next job: I have a different non leaking prop to swap with mine I got from member J999pre off here.
As usual the forum has proved invaluable every Jimny owner should join.
