hi all
you might remember me from a while ago i had the monster energy green jimny, iv just got a new project which will be bigger better and custom build if you are all interested i can update it as we go if your not then i wont bother lol )
well heres
this is my old jimny
one of my best mates is doing all the fab work im helping but iv never done any feb work so hes making sure i don’t go wrong ect lol, he’s already stuck a 2.9 v6 into a niva with loads custom stuff, hes top guy and so is his work :-B
Any way here is the jimny it use to be garys off here (BIG thanks to him for finding the car and getting me in touch with his mate)
What we started with
No rear end,
No engine,
No gearbox,
No transfer box
No rear diff
No rear springs
No shocks
No prop shafts,
etc etc. Just a pair of empty axles, a chassis and half a cab
1st day working
Simon went mad in the 1st hr or so and welded one side of the back on and the rear door
The next few photos are of my welding skills so please be kind iv never welded before and in si’s words “coo coo its pigeon poo†lol but he enjoys grinding out my crappy welding and redoing it haha :-B
That’s it for now si’s working on it no and then but hoping to get on it every Wednesday so progress will be slow but will get done,
Spec list that’s being done
Half a jimny lol
Izuzu 1.7td engine
Land rover axles
33" tyres
front and rear winches
trayback with external roll cage
sj transfer box.
Lockers front and rear
Some big ass train horns lol )
Comments are welcome and ideas if ppl are not interested I wont post up any more but if you are ill keep you all updated :-bd

like that you've used the back of the hard top shell to make the rear of the cab
looking forward to the rest of the build
would fit landrover extended arches at the front instead of those extensions - will give more room for big tyres

haha thanks nar them archs are going down the road haha going to get somthing that looks a bit nicer will have a look around closer to the time

I'm afraid that jimny pickup shell didnt get much further and went to the scrapyard in the sky years ago.
