Hi all,

Picked my 2003 Jimny up 3 weeks ago, been lurking on here since then, think I'm going to be in the minority on here as it will be a pavement princess.

I use it as my daily driver for a 70 mile commute and has been spot on interested to know if 360 miles to a tank is good for a standard Jimny.

Already been adding bits

Colour matched side steps and a bar bumper
Tinted rear windows
Chromed rear bumper bar

Will try to get some pics up soon

Andy

Welcome along mate. 360 miles is immense! How have you managed that?

I keep reading that they are poor on fuel and speed, yet I do 70mph with no wobble and have averaged that mileage for the last 3 weeks, I must have got a good one!!

I suppose if your journies are long and not stop and start (I assume it's mostly motorways?) then that's usually good for increasing mpg. I only average around 250 miles a tank but they're shorter journies and can be stop start quite regularly. I'm impressed with 360. What fuel are you using?

Welcome mate. There's plenty of room for pavement princesses on here. I'm a bit partial to shiny lifted Jimnys with flash wheels and mud tyres that never go off road! There you are, it's out!

I like standard nice shiny ones too.

Have fun with it. Especially if it snows this winter. Just try not to be too smug when driving past people slipping over on the pavement!

Just a quick update as the most off-roading my jimny will see is pulling into the car park for some mountain biking I have fitting a roof rack with bike mount. I also fitted my oz alloys, a bit disappointed as I had no wobble with the steels but now I feel like I get an arm workout on the way to work. Must need balancing so due to get it done soon

There's not too many standard Jimmy a around here standard road tires are the best for best mpg.
Mine is standard but the best I have got was £40 of fuel which got me 270 miles I think that worked out to be 36mpg. I doubt il ever manage 45mpg. Today I could only squeeze £36 in so I'm saving a few quid now.
