I have 31s on my Jimny, is not a simple task, but here is what i have done (over time):
Remove ALL plastics from all Inner Arches
Outer Arches will need to be seriously cut back - actually, just get rid of them and fit external LR arches.
Extended braided brake hoses for the front - rears are ok as standard
3" Lifted Springs
Fit Wheel Spacers or good offset rims
Using your BFH flatten back seams on front arches - ideally cut and shut inner front arches.
Fit correct shock absorbers - i have ES9000 - hard but are good to stop tryes rubbing
The 31s will require a Rock Lobster (or eqivilant) - I have a Rob Storr 6.5:1 SJ Transfer case and customer Props
Stronger Panhards, as when you start off-roading with 31s you'll be going to tougher plces, and the standard Jimny Panhards are made of plastercine
Stronger Radius Arms all around, or caster corrected bushes
....
there might be more that others will will come in with ... but thats my quick list ...
Oh, and it costs a fair bit of cash and takes time!!
Jalapeño, IISY?

Only other thing is i put stronger half shaft in as their a week spot too. I haven't taken all the arch liners out but guess I will, my tyres rubbing a bit on defender arches offroad, guess I'll need to cut them back a bit too, or was thinking lifting the body an inch, already 4" suspension lift. All adds up!
Didn't know about the panhard though, do you know where I can get em?
Cheers

I did keep getting beached on the diffs before which was a pain, but them landys do like to make deep ruts, can always try and stay out of the ruts, not always that easy though.
