I'm sure they can help you out
But www.Rallyshop.it also has OMP cages at decent prices. Don't know how much shipping cost is.

Are you running a standard alternator? If so does it keep the batteries charged enough with the big winch and twin motors?
I think Demon Tweeks in Wales can supply OMP cages. They might take a bit of time to get it in but at least they will likely get it with others they are ordering to reduce the shipping by sharing it with other orders perhaps. Worth a phone call Gary?

Thanks Kirky We definitely had a good time that weekend
No question we're getting HD CVs and shafts. but when I don't know as they're pretty expensive. Aforementioned Team Bertelsen are getting HD CVs and shafts made by RCV in the US, who as far as I know makes some of the best CVs and shafts on the market. But they're having some difficulties with the supply, and they still don't know if RCV will make the 22 or 26 splines. I'd prefer the RCV ones, but if they can't deliver I'll get Rob Storr HD CVs and shafts.
It was an error by me that killed the CV. Both front wheel were completely covered in heavy clay, full steering lock, too much pedal while trying to winch through. But oh well.. lesson learned
The situation that killed the CV also drained the batteries as we winched a lot, trying to get out of the clay.
So the next 2 stages we had only limited winching power, but made it through.
But in general I'll say the standard alternator is pretty much sufficient. Of course a bigger one would be great, but for us just getting started with winch challenges, it's fine
But I'm considering the 320 Amp alternator from Red Winches, just not sure how the tiny G13BB engine will deal with that

I think a 320A alternator may be a bit of overkill! Even challenge Defender's don't go that big!
About 100A would be fine and the type of battery doesn't lend it's self to winching but you have to use something to start out with. A couple of Numax's may be a cheap but appropriate upgrade, however I'm not sure I'd want lead acid batteries (Numax's are lead acid) that close to me un-contained. Perhaps gel winching batteries may be better when you are able to afford them?
Have you considered a second alternator just for your winching batteries and running the car on a standard battery?
I realise you've been around the Winch Challenge scene for a bit and are just getting your truck together, so you've probably thought about all of this!

I don't know how big an alternator I want to fit. As big as possible 320A would be great, but yes.. a bit overkill perhaps
Have also considered just installing a 24 volt alternator and use a voltage dropper for the ignition and such. Just like the Gigglepin Guys have done with the rebuilt Comp Truck.
I have considered a second alternator to run parallel with the primary. But just to feed both batteries. Don't want an extra battery, just adds up weight. Would probably be the cheapest solution.
All these decisions...
Need better suspension before bigger alternator, that's for sure
