Greetings from Estonia. Because Estonian Suzuki forum is almost dead, I decided to join with BigJimny
I have thought about buying a 4x4 long time and so month ago i bought this red Jimny JLX.
Pic
So far i have found plenty of rust and stuck bolts....which is'nt a big suprise for Japanese cars but still a little bit buzzkill, at least the frame seems good.
What's gonna change?
At the moment i have already bought/changed/done:
1) New tyres - Insa Turbo Sahara 215/75-15" (waiting new rims from Jimnybits, because they were out of stock )
2) 2" lift kit - Pro Comp 2" from Jimnybits. Front end done....rear waiting.
3) 8000lbs DragonWinch - winch plate designed and cut, waiting at the moment for powder coating Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3
4) Poly bushes - got super cheap kit from eBay, from Poland (£114 inc. shipping). Let's see if they are any good
5) Removed sway bar
6) Longer brake hoses - because i removed the sway bar i think i should replace the brake hoses (?)
If i have 2" lift and removed sway bar should i replace only the front ones or also the rear? Can anyone tell me the length of extended front hoses?

Very nice Jimny you've got there!
RE the brake lines. YES! Replace them.
With no lift and no sway bar, you're fine, but with 2" lift, and no sway bar you risk pulling a line on full articulation - and I'd know cause I tested it out with some hi-lift jacks.

Finally got the wheels and tyres fitted. Winch is wired up and bigger 62Ah battery (Centra CP621).
Brake lines are changed.
Are the Jimny brakes originaly poor? Changed the rear shoes and front sliders (old ones were rusted), everything moves fine and no air in the system but braking is pretty poor....is this "normal" or should i inspect something else?
