Hi folks, my names Ryan, I'm new to the forum and to jimnys, part ex'd my car in for this little beast on Saturday, it's had a few upgrades but nothing on a huge scale! My plan is to get a pro comp 2" lift kit for it soon, I was wondering if there's anything else I will need other than the kit? Or is it just a straight forward swap?
And I noticed a few jimnys with roof lights on, so does anyone know where I can get a light bar from?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm sure I'll have some more to ask though as I'm knew to all this!
Atb Ryan

Looks very smart! Nice alloys and a good colour.
My advice would be don't rush to modify it just for the sake of it; enjoy it how it is for now and you'll soon work out what mods are worthwhile!

I agree with 'Busta' the Jimny is as everyone says 'very capable' as it is in standard trim.

if your going to use it offroad without too many mods at least think of adding a few basic protection bits such as radius arm guards, transfer box guard and diff guards.. add a set of mud tyres and it will get through most stuff albeit with a little dragging using those bits of protection..
lift is no point unless you have bigger wheels, bigger wheels means transfer box mods, it becomes a vicious but enjoyable circle..

It's my daily run about, But I'm planning on doing some green laning at the weekends, nothing major! But I think it's more of a looks thing to be honest, I love it as it is but I just want to make it look a little more aggressive. The original suspension feels a bit stiff, so was hoping a lift with new suspension would make the ride a little more cushioned.
My plan of mods to do was.
2" Lift kit.
Insa turbo special tracks on the original steel rims as my winter set up. (Currently insa turbo trakkers on oz alloys)
Nudge/bull bar.
Light bar fitted with 4 Cree spot lights.
And that's about it for now, what do you guys think?
