Well every year I buy a winter car and take my Golf GTi edition 30 off the road and put it in the garage

350bhp and ice/snow do not go well together, plus I'm a sucker for keeping it clean!!

Anyway I has this jimny last year

Regretted selling it as soon as it drove out the driveway, should of kept it for this year as it was a great wee car, never missed a beat and was great fun also fairly clean!!

Well the hunt started again as winter loomed and managed to pick up this wee Jimny

Manual locking hubs are its only mod so far. 91k miles and part service history. Fairly clean for its age with no major dents etc. apart from a few scuffs on the arches and rear bumper. So I thought I'd tidy it up and give repairing and painting the affected areas a go myself. Got the use of a good friends body shop booth B)

In the middle of the paint before primer
And then once I had painted the areas.......

Turned out really well, pretty happy with it :cheer:
Much better!!

Also ordered some of these in 205/70/15. Couldn't handle the insa turbo special tracks again this year, as amazing as they were.... Not ideal for a daily driver

Put a sticker on as a little bit fun for when it's caked in mud

(I'm a part time detailer on my days off from the fire service)

Went for a wee play in the woods today

Looking chuffed with my wee Jimny

Didn't want to go too extreme with road tyres up front and A/T's on the rear....

When pay day comes I think I'll be ordering a 2" pro comp lift kit and snorkel B)
Then pray for some snow and mud :)

I'll be keeping this one I think and adding a few wee bits here and there, itching for a winch!!

I bet when you get it muddy there's part of you that enjoys it but part of you that can't bear to see it like that and you want to get it clean asap, and I don't mean just washing the mud off but really clean!
