I've just done this myself with a similar rubber strip. Just to keep it on the legal side, easy to do, I self tapped my in rather than self adhesive.

Ive seen a set forsale and i think it would take alot more than 2" lift to get away with them

The sticky really held fast. I tried removing some and it wouldn't budge. :ohmy:
