Hi,
I bought my jimny about a year ago and got it for a bargain due to the fact the 4WD didnt work. I took the gamble after reading so much helpful advise on the great site and after cleaning everything up, blowing through the vacuum pipes and replacing a chewed up wheel retaining nut (which the vacuum hubs seals on) CLONK the hubs engaged and the 4WD has worked perfectly ever since........Delighted.

I then replaced the drivers side kingpin bearing whihc was giving me a lot of problems and my jimny drove great.

Sounds good! Don't you just love it when a plan comes together.
Have you modded it or just enjoying it in standard form?

Markyp2000 ; I think I done a few things that wasnt needed that day. was a slight learning curve.

Wiltec17 ; i Tried to add more pics and expalin what else I have done but my internet is being crap today. Try again though.

I then fitted some roof lights, bull bars and new tyres.
I wired up the two outside lights to the full beam and the inside ones to the stereo so i can use them independently when the ignition is on. also gave them a custom paint job with some spray paint and a handfull of leaves. ;) Thought it was a nice touch.

Thanks that was a while ago. since then its changed a bit. really struggling to get the pics up. its getting annoying.

I eventually decided on a lift and heres what i went for mostly because i use it a lot on the road swell.
Ive installed a ORA 2.5" mudskipper suspension kit. (rough country shocks)
castor correction bushes.
adjustable panhards.
modulars 15x7 et - 30. looks good with that offset.
Moved the position of the extra lights just for a nice change.
Cooper discoverer atr tyres - 205/75r15 which are good on the snow, which is one of the reasons i bought the jimmy.

All try again with more pics

Heres how it looks as of today.

The only problem Im having now is that my adjustable panhards are fully adjusted to the smallest lenght and the cab is still off centre to the axle. Any suggestions. also I think that the castor correction bushes are maybe just not rotating the axle far enough because the steering feels ok but still a bit light and wonders a bit. But like i said id finished this yday so not drove it much to really know for sure.

Somehow the wheels suit that lift.

I don't because now and then over the years photobucket has messed up a good number of my links. Personally I would never recommend it for forum use when the forum has it's own file upload system. I have found the best way to put pics on here is to shrink images to say 50%, upload no more than three in each post and if you want more then edit the post later and add pics after.
