Bought my Jimny over the weekend.
Vreg metalic green Hardtop. - Not Mot , Oil leak , clutch Slipping.
Original price £695. - Discounted to £650 before i saw it
After i noticed clutch slipping. New price £550.
Mot
Failed
emissions to High, on fast idle and idle, C0 To high.
after a can of intake cleaner and some fuel treatment . We have an Mot..
2 advisories - numberplate and fuel lines signs of corrosion,
and the Clutch has stopped Slipping.
After looking over vehicle , had new shocks, lamba sensor,
So i think my gamble Paid OFF

Sounds like you did well - in respect of the emissions test for the MOT - did the MOT tester know there are no published emissions for a Jimjam, so it falls back to the older car emissions amounts?
Mark on here knows more about it and my MOT tester is savvy with it, unlike others I've used in the past!

Cats have to be there for a visible check to make sure they are there as per the newish mot rules. The lambda sensors will notice it's gone and throw a check engine light on too.
