Bought a Jimny!

All the soft tops are fitted with the MK1 bumper so the 195/80/should be ok.


Yes I know my jimny has got a 2"lift fitted, but I had 205/75/15 fitted with just 1.5 spring spacer for a long time with no rubbing.

Love the look of your jimny, i have some lights with a roof bar which im going to try and fit. Had a look at your thread with how you did it so might do the same

Horrid words but if you're daily driving it does matter! Just for info, I got ~34mpg on the worn out Duellers that came on my Jimny, ~29mpg on KL71s (195/80) and ~32mpg on Geolandar AT-S (205/70). I didn't keep the KL71s for long as at least 2/3rds of my commute is 50mph dual carriageway and the Jimny felt dog slow on them - like driving in treacle! That said, I know lots of people on here love them so I won't moan about them too much :laugh: I just found ATs better for my commute - almost indistinguishable from the Duellers on the road and still laughed off last year's snow. I guess it depends how many miles and what sort of roads you use really (and how much offroading you'll be doing)...

Same here. With the standard Duellers I got around 35mpg, but 215 AT's get me about 30! But it's good to know that so far, nothing has stopped them.

SO been driving her for a week now and loving it! Had the roof down too (only the front bit though).

Just wondering if someone can help me, im after a set of these...

You have steels at the moment - yes??? As far as I know they should be fine. I look for the 60° taper.

how she is at the moment! got new steelies, wind deflectors, took the chrome S off the grille, and halfway through taking of some of the O2 badges etc.

Got a problem with steering wobble, got a feeling it could be the kingpins

What wheel nuts did you decide on?

i just got them from the same company as I got the wheels from, just wondering if theres locking wheel nuts available for them, but doubting it

If you got a set of locking nut with the alloys just use them. that's what I use on my modulars.
