I'm the second car, look at the other side from the Mud-pit when i just got back on top.
You see the skid markes from my axles !!! :(
So i defeniteley need more ground clearance

Bigger wheels and tyres equals more ground clearance, then your looking at big lifts etc.

Portal axles if you have deep pockets big wheels will gain you a bit Portals gain you 4 inches under you diff and allow you to run bigger tyres without anymore lift

Ground clearance will always be an issue with a Jimny. The simplest option is to take a different path through an obstacle so you are not always in the ruts left by bigger vehicles. Otherwise you get sucked into the endless loop where we all end up trying to turn the smallest, most agile 4x4s into massive challenge trucks!

And for every inch you increase the tyres you get 0.5 inch increase in ground clearance :(

So going from the standard 28 inches to 31 inch tyres = 2 inch improvement in clearance.
