Hello guys been knocking around the forum for a little while now, asked for lots of advise and admired lots of nice trucks, but haven't bothered saying much about mine so I thought it was time to start a little post about mine and my progress so far.
So I got my Jimny from a guy who was a car dealer but this was his toy. He had already started the modding. It came with a 3inch Kap lift and 215,80,15 malatesta kobra's. After much thought and consideration I decided that this wasn't enough and made some plans and so far it has,
31,10.50,15 kingpin extreme Trekkers on 15x8 mods,
32mm spacers,
3inch kap springs,
1.5inch springs spacers,
Pro-comp ES3000 shocks,
Braided brake lines,
ORA 4" corrected radius arms,
Fully poly bushed,
Ora adjustable panhard arms,
KAP stainless exhaust,
LR extended wheel arches,
Custom made snorkel,
Stripped interior,
Manual locking front hubs,
Rocklobster and ora skid guard,

Got some more bits to fit ora front recovery points and lock right for the rear. Still got a few other bits I would like to do fuel tank guard, radius arm bracket guard, a decent towbar but un sure what type to choose, a costum load liner with some sort of cupboard or drawer setup, some sort of front bash guard instead of the plastic one and un sure on whether to do a winch or not.

I have got a few pics that I will try and get up but only got an iPad so not sure if they will show or not.

Hello Rodden 87, welcome here and thanks for making us so jealous !!!
I like very much your Jimny and it's regrettable that "thanks" to the Belgian MOT we can not make such changes to our car's, unless you don't drive on the public streets !

About your question about a winch... me personnally i wouldn't put a winch on.
How many times did you allready needed one?
I think with your rocklobster and very good tyres you'll get very far.
I don't see me driving around whole year long with some extra 40 to 70 kg. in the front putting extra weight on your front drivetrain. You will also have some extra fuel-consumption.
Also the cost of it all (winchbumper, battery, switches... etc...) and how many times a year you will really need it?
Unless you go to "very extreme".
Naturally that is my personal opinion, i also had plans to put a winch and winchbumper, did put the pro's and contra's on a sheet, and i have changed my plans.
I did bought a D&G Tuning dropbox with all the belongings needed, this i will get somewhere in September.
I think with all other changes i did this also will get me far and still "roadlegal". ;)
Anyway your's is already serious stuff ! Lot's of fun with it !! ;)

Hi guys thanks for the hello's.
Juan I agree with you I don't think I will use a winch enough to get one but, when you do get stuck some times it's the only answer although most of the times I go out most of my Mates have winches! I can't seem to justify it but still think of one!

Well after prolapsing my L3 I've been out of action for a while but managed to get a couple of easy bits done, but hopefully back to work on Monday so things should get back to normal again in a couple of months. But anyway I've gone for a towtrust tow bar with a pin hitch, I think it's great value and well made to, very easy to fit and I managed to get my neighbour a vehicle electrician to wire ;) .
Also got my Ora tow/recovery points fitted nice an easy too.
I did make a decision about the load liner to, after a couple of occasions needing to take passengers I decided to get some second hand seats for the back. The only problem I'm left with is what to do about the spare, but I can't lift it so nothing happening for a few months :( .
After taking the carpets out and getting fed up with slipping around in the foot well I decided to paint the footwell in none slip paint works amazing definitely recommend it.
Also managed to get a mate to make some roof bars for me, worked out about £20 finished a damn site cheaper than off the shells ones.
I was suffering a problem with my KAP exhaust chewing lots of rubbers so thought I'd try some thing new and asked my old mans mate what to do (rallying guru) he gave me some huge rubbers that apparently are ford escort 1991 onwards, but they are cheap are perfect so much strong than suzuki rubbers.

Gots loads more jobs to get done but currently can't really bent or lift so not going to happen any time some  . I've got my front ORA panhard arm to fit, lockright diff lock something that's going to annoy me as it's sat looking at me and I can't use it  . I also invested in some extended front bump stops from zanfi.it to lots of jobs stacking up will get some pics up this afternoon.
