Finally got my jimny :D

Well it's been a stressful week since buying my jimny with the clutch going then wheel wobble, but it's all sorted now. At 21 I decided it was time to stop looking for the fastest car possible and find a more interesting car. So I decided to go the offroading route.

So I sold this....

And bought this..


And I have to say I absolutely love it!! Obviously it is a lot slower and doesn't go round corners quite as well but it sure is a lot of fun!!

Just ordered a 2" lift kit with the usual bits and going to get some bf goodrich km2's.

Future plans are..
: Extended brake lines and remove anti roll bar
: Snorkel
: Manual hubs

Going from 163bhp cooper s to a 1.3 jimny is very different but the jimny can go places the mini never could so it is well worth it and parts are so much cheaper!

Can i ask what you're paying for insurance at 21? It's just i'm 22 paying £500 fully comp. for mine. Just wondered as i don't know people my age that have one.

Hi, I pay £524, I added my dad and sister as named drivers which brought it down from £600. The mini was £1400 as I bought it before my 21st bday lol.

I no what you mean i got a 300bhp impreza as a weekend car and the jimny i use every day

Who are you insured with,do you declare you mods?

I am with admiral and I will be once They arrive, think it puts it up about £65

I don't think Admiral will let you fit the 2" lift give them a ring first before you fit it, you might need to go to some one like Adrian flux or sureterm direct.

Admiral don't insure a lot of mods. It's hard enough trying to explain what they are to them. I found a company called 'a plan' who I gave my details and cars details and then they came back to me with an excellent quote. They weren't so competitive on my other car though which is insured with....admiral.

Im with admiral at the moment and they wont insure me for my 2inch suspenion lift.
Tried other 4x4 insurers and they want £3000 or more.
