we had a van there aswell but that was brimmed.
it gets well used has done for the past 3 years thinking back the different things it has done aswell as the laning and daily use.

was pretty weighed down at the back didnt struggle at all

I need a new nsr wheel bearing a bit noisey on the drive home,new rear shoes knew they were low before the trip,front brakes need a clean out,possibly service the king pins aswell,i also had to remove the radiator completely yesterday and clean it out as it was blocked solid and I had to drive home with the heaters on full whack to keep the temp from rising I did clean it a bit down there which helped get me home.also got my winch rope soaking as it was minging.gave the full thing a decent clean yest aswell as it was lifting inside aswell as out.couple of pics

What has put me off getting a Disco 2 is that you have to have Hawkeye or the other one to bleed the brakes, many don't have the centre diff lock and those that do you have to buy the bits to make it work, the wheel bearings are in the hubs and cost a fortune and to remove the ACE and airbags would mean using normal anti-roll bars and I don't think there's a disconnect system for them yet.
If it had the same underpinnings as the Disco 1 it would be perfect - but then I suppose it would be a Disco 1 and the only reason I don't get one of those is that they are full of rust or will become full of rust in no time at all.
I'd like to know how you get on with it and whether you think the lack of a Centre Diff Lock when Laning is an issue?

im fortunate in that I have a good friend who works at a landy specialist and 100 yards from where I work there is a landrover service centre and I know the master tech there.software we have at work can do all the brake bleeding etc.this is already on rear coils most are now and ive got a lift kit on order.ive got a wheel bearing to do tomorrow to it on the nsf was 42 quid and its just a bolt in out job.ace is in good working order and makes it drive very well hence why im.keen to keep it.come the time theres a major issue I will fit older arbs and bypass the pump with a different aux belt and get the system turned off so no light on.
ive had 2 300tdi's previously and I had a 200tdi for a week the disco 2 is leagues ahead of them imo yes the older ones are more suited if you spend more time off road but 90% of my time its on the road.my last 300 tdi I had was full of holes aswell.
will keep you updated when I do my first proper day out but ive done a couple of small lanes as standard and the tc worked a treat I have the option there to fit the diff as the parts are readily available from my mates place but im.keen to get to learn how to drive it with the tc.I know the jimny would run rings around this offroad but majority of the lanes I do a standard truck can do with good tyres,im not into p+play or anything like that now as that just wrecks trucks so this is going to suit my needs alot better.see how we get on !
