Part of me wants to build a second Jimny like this - a daily that talks the talk, looks pretty but can walk the walk when needed. The only thing is I have no need for it as I have my heavily modified one in the garage, so it would be done for the fun of it and for being cool! I have a need for speed too so have recently bought an Ignis Sport!

Keep it up, looking forward to more piccies.

Cheers mate,im happy how it is now concidering how crap it was when i bought it,could easily be used as a daily driver, theres times when i use it regular but currently ive got a couple cars so its spent the most of the past 3 weeks in the garage.its a good spec and can still cut it with stuff alot bigger,id deffo like a lobster and possibly some 235 75 15's but thats a way off yet.i like them little ignis sports cracking little cars, ive always loved my hot hatches and had loads over the years.

Small update, after my last trip to the dales had a quick look under the jimny and found that my rear shock bolts/mounts haf took a hammering off the rocky lanes that we did,so decided to knock some guards up nowt flash, done a roughock up in card board got a piece of scrap 3mm plate from local fabrication place, and set away couple of hrs and done few pics.

Yea deffo agree there, all my other guards are home made, front diff guard, transfer box guard, trailing arm guards, sorry ive got a rear ora weld on rear diff guard.my whole jimny has been based on a buget with it been a 2nd car/toy.ive only just realised rear shock guards can be bought from jimnybits for 24 quid :( and are very similar to what ive done, never mind every penny saved helps.think im going to fit another battery to the jimny, when i broke the liana i had for the engine i kept the battery tray and the battery is healthy on it,so thats next on the cards with split charging system.

I'm the same. Very little of my stuff is full price and most is second hand. Seems more satisfying that way rather than spending £££ on stuff I dont really need but just want!

Not alot to report on the rpj although couple of bits and bobs i thought id update with

Recently removed my home made front diff guard/axle guard as in the snow it acts as a bit of a plough so in its place welded on an ora front one for some protection.

fixed my front fogs as there was a wiring issue

Replaced the front brake pads recently as they were shot

Also won off ebay a pair of alleged land/winch anchors got them for £10 delivered so was worth a shot, had a try of one yesterday and worked quite well was quite supprised, they just winde into the ground small vid.

Got a couple of trips out lined up over the next couple of weeks as i havnt used the jimny off road for a good few weeks now and dying to get out.also have my mot due soon so will be getting sorted for that.
