The 23s share the same engine - K6A - as in the Cappuccino (my other car). It's a lovely little unit and I'm sure they're as good in the Jimnys as they are in the Capp. Relatively easy to get more power out of them without doing anything crazy (or foolish!) too. The Capps run @ 0.9bar as standard (if your actuator hasn't gone a bit soft) and the ECU's keep the engine wound back to meet the Kei bhp limit, but an ECU swap (to a genuine SuzukiSport one in the Capp's case) gives you more aggressive timing, fuelling and lets you up the boost to 1.1bar too. Totally transforms the car! Did you go for MT or AT? I always thought a 660 would go really well with an auto for offroad...
Would also be curious about import costs if you don't mind sharing such information

Nice car. What sort of MPG to get from the 660?
Can you give forum members any information about importing a car from Japan. Costs; paperwork, where you got yours from etc.
I hoping for a business trip to Tokyo sometime soon and hope to get time to check out Jimny parts and perhaps a JB23W 660.
Cheers
Paul

No worries - thought later on it might've sounded like I was trying to tell you about your own car - apologies if so, I'm sure you know more than I, especially as I've got most of mine via Google Translate
Never thought about the small stuff like finding tyres for the smaller wheels - at least they're Yokos, gotta keep it JDM I always figured an auto would keep the turbo spooling & keep the torque up nicely but also seem to remember reading if you push them hard the boxes can overheat, so swings and roundabouts I guess.
X90 looks like fun and I bet it surprised a few people!

If you need parts from Japan and don't have you're own contacts I can recommend Jesse Streeter (jessestreeter.com) - I got brand new outer sills for the Capp purchased & delivered to the UK for a chunk less than Suzuki GB were asking & he's a great guy to deal with. There seem to be a few EA21Rs (the never-officially-imported K6A-engined Capps) over here so you could always ask on Club Cappo or SCORE where they get their service bits from? Perhaps it's all the same between F & K but I wouldn't know for sure...
