Thanks to Photobucket, all the photos in the thread are now dead. :(

Well haven't done much on the jimny lately but had some rear springs out of a GV laying around, and as the jimnyone were giving up I decided to try them on. Works great.

A little more lift in the rear was really needed :)

how do you find the lsd in the yota axle?thinking of getting a v6 but unsure about the lockers, currently got an arb front and rear in jimny axles, thinking that despite the increase in power it may be worse in a way with the v6 and an lsd rear. Wondering if better to get an arby's for the rear yota axle or leave the lad rear and get a front arb, what you reckon?

The lj 78 has a factory installed lsd. You can also get factory e-lockers, the front axle diff of the 80 series is the correct size for lj70-78/hilux axles. They are also found in some hilux rears but are quite rare.

I dont like the lsd. It always fails when you needed the most ;)
I put lsd in because I had no others lockers at the moment. But in front I mounted some shims in the lsd and it works alot better than the rear.
I am going to put air lockers havent had time to do that yet, the time will come.

My friend has g13bb original axles air lockers and 35" tyres no problems at all. It all depends how you drive.
Another I know has 38" g13bb and original axles. He uses it but I dont know about problems there.

The yota axles are about 100kg heavier than the original, and I felt a lot of difference in steep side hills when driving. This extra weight is under the chassis so the stabililty got better.
The main reson why i put yota axles was because I wanted some lockers. But I like to give it some gas so the extra strength in the axles is good :)
