Well I've been loitering on this site for a while now, so time to say hello.
Standard Jimny with 195 KingPin All Terrains, belongs to the wife in the week, and is mine to play with at the weekends.
Video here
This weekend the ground was nice and soft, but I think I need to be looking for some underbody protection.

Crickey, looks like you had fun!!! You did well getting through that with just All Terrains on, be careful with ruts as the radius arms ground out in the middle of them, as I found out to my cost on a standard Jimny once!!!
Also, I think you've only used the A bar to wrap your tow strap round to store it, don't for heavens sake use it to tow from though.
I hope you have lots more fun with it.
With respect to underbody protection, have a look at TBR 4x4's website, there is a link on the links page of this site.
See my post about fitting their fuel tank guard to make life easier. You may have more common sense than I did though!

The other thing to add to your truck given you are off roading it proper are uprated transfer box mounts from the likes of KAP. The standard cast ones are too weak for any off roading!!!
Be prepared for the rubber mounts to shear, the part number for them from Suzuki is 29610-81A20 and they recently cost me £39.06 + Vat. I had soaked mine in copious amounts of WD40 first but one was too far gone and the bolt sheared.

Thanks for the hints. The school boy error I did make was not washing the mud out of the radiator matrix, overheated on the wife the following day, doh.
The A bar, as you say, is just for show. I've removed the centre trim bit from the bumper and exposed the ends of the chassis rails, into which I've hung a couple of shackles.
The transfer box mounts, is this because of the increased torque or because it can get whalloped. Would uprating the mounts remove the need for a guard, or vice versa.

Oh dear, hope it didn't overheat too badly and that your head gasket is ok!!! I'd keep an eye on the coolant level and for coolant in the oil and vice versa for a bit to be safe.
The uprated transfer box mounts are needed due to the extra forces put on them when off roading. They are cast and any weaknesses in them cause them to crack and snap from the twisting of the props going in and out of them having greater force on them for the vehicle to overcome obstacles. Obviously whalloping the transfer box doesn't help them either.
If the rubber mount bolts come undone easily it's a quick job ... but like any quick job on any car, something always goes wrong making it a headache!!!
The KAP mounts are just the ticket.
I have a TBR transfer box guard on mine also and will be posting lots of pics of my vehicle in the next few months when I've taken some when we go to the Lakes in it, and will take pics of the underneath at the same time.
I don't know what experience you have so don't want to teach you to suck eggs, but don't put pressurised water through the cooling fins of your rad or it'll bend them and it will not allow air through and will overheat continuously.
