Hi all, thanks for the comments ... the deck is made from 12mm Ply ( just what I had hanging around in the garage) and I used a piano hinge to create the flap to access the jack storage area, there is no supports by the rear footwell as it seems quite sturdy at the moment. The carpet is just 500x500 carpet tiles from B&Q stuck down with spray adhesive.

Had a slight problem when the insa's were fitted though ... had to dismantle the side steps before I could leave the tire centre because the tires were hitting the steps when the steering was about 3/4 turned. (the tires are only 205/70/15 aswell)
