cruddy underneath was created by grumpy22
After getting under my recently acquired Jimny to remove a leaking shocker I've decided it's go far too much flaking rusty crud and needs a good clean and waxoil/shultzing.

thing is how to remove the crud easiest? I'd really like to get it underbody steam cleaned but can't find anyone local who could do the job. So I'm considering getting an angled nozzle for my jetwash and blasting it with that. Trouble is I'm not sure I'd get everything off and I don't want to cover crud with shultz. Short of getting underneath with a wire brush anyone got any better - hopefully mechanised ideas?

cheers

Pressure wash, allow to dry, wire brush like crazy. Hammerite on axles, stonechip on bodyshell and chassis. Don't use waxoil outside the chassis cos it doesn't set, rubs off on your clothes when you work on it, creates a mess and can trap moisture within it. Use it for cavities only.

Do it just before every winter and don't put the car in a garage wet, let it dry first.

As mentioned above use goggles and gloves!

Because I go off-road everyday as a Dozer driver, I find it helpful to put a rainwave sprinkler under the Jimny each night and run it for 15 mins to soak off the crap that accumulates from driving in the mud and wet clay.
