A quick GoPro video edit from iMovie
Jimny performed flawlessly and hauled arse all day long. Yesterday was my return trip to Brisbane from Sydney, almost exactly 12 hours including rest stops. The bypasses have really improved the journey immensely.
I got RBT'd (alcohol test) at about 9am, police were very efficient and I was in and out in no more than a minute. Lots of highway patrols and radars, at least 20 that I saw.
Economy
(98 octane each fill, Speed was a smidge over 110km/h whenever I was in that speed zone, and I was driving to the GPS speed reading)
Total of 222.5 litres
Total of 2091.6 kms
________
9.4 km/L or 10.63L/100kms
Pretty good considering I had the roof basket loaded and the AC running constantly. Also I had one tank full of crap fuel which returned a 15% higher fuel usage, no more of that crap if I can help it, power was down very noticeably and I had to keep switching off AC to retain speed on long climbs, was great to get good fuel again on the next fill up.
________
I need to do something with my headers as the heat has melted my overflow bottle
Parramatta Rd, a main distributor in Sydney, has seriously narrow lanes yet nobody wonders across the lines on bends, made for a nice change.

Carid in the states stock the roof baskets and ship to the U.K, shipping would be just over $100
