I had a Vespa until 14:25 hours on 16th August 2010 when a nice lady with a new born baby in a mk4 Vw Golf drove into the back of me as she accelerated onto a roundabout not seeing me waiting to pull out into the gap she went for, pushing me onto the roundabout, folding my bike's body up. I couldn't keep it upright so gently laid it down, not realising it was a write off yet. Then I heard screeching tyres to turn around and see a 40T truck skidding to a stop to not hit me and came face to face with it's grill!

Not that I remember it clearly!

I look forward to seeing yours finished. Will you be doing some air brushing on it?

I look forward to it being finished too. If I do any airbrushing it will be subtle.

Yeah I had some scary moments on my first Vespa (PX125E 1985). Motorbikes are so much safer but not as cool ;P

I'm working on a Suzuki SJ bonnet at the moment, I won't put any pics up yet as it's a secret and I know some of the other Aussie guys come on here. Laid down the base colour today, first time I've used a gun, came out quite reasonable and my flaws will be hidden with a bit of sanding and when the clear coat goes on.
I'll share it once it's finished but suffice to say it'll be the most detailed airbrushing I've done so far. I can't wait to get it done to see the finished product.

You will have to ask Kirkynut, he's the president of the group ;)

That's funny, if only you could see her close up.
It's too clean but I'm holding myself back at the moment. Aussie 4x4 mag is shooting her in two weeks time so I don't want to create work for myself as I'm too busy with too many projects (not all fun projects).
After that I'll take her out and get her muddy.

Power through the roof

Bought one of these - marine supply

Punched

Pilot hole, no backing out now

Definitely no going back

I ran power up the pillar behind the trim

I could of hidden it behind the roof rail but I wanted easy access to the plug when the basket is loaded

It's retina burningly bright... excellent.
