weather permitting i'll be cutting in the fairlead and stainless eyes this weekend, then unbolt everything and off to the spray shop

This is a lovely little truck! You should submit some pics to Retro Cars magazine for the readers ride section. They've just done a feature on a Classic Rangie, this would fit in just as well.
