been signed up here for a while never realy siad hello bit about myself i guess, im 17 and have been building up my jimny since january on a limited budget hence it taking as long as it has to get to where it is now.

2 1/2" suspension lift
3 inch body lift
235/80 kumho muds on r15/7 dihatsu alloys
procomp ES1000 on the rear
procomp ES9000 on the front
front chassis rails extended winch plate welded in between
uprated 15mm steel towing eyes
superwinch S2500
land rover snorkel made to fit
axel breathers
vitara big bore manifold to DEcat pipe
vitara radiator
uprated transfer box mounts
front bumper trimmed
cb radio stinger ariel
and a leaky sunroof

i do have plans to fit a 1.6 engine and sj transfer box in the near future
this is one of 3 jimny's in the household but the only one thats modified

I have to ask you, if you are 17 and on "L" plates how do you get insurance for a modified vehicle?

Pretty much every insurance company refuses to insure me but quinn direct do, All mods declared, garaged, with a thatcham 2 alarm fitted and certificated instalation works out £1003 a year third party fire and theft on the "L" plates. When i save up enough to pay for my insurance deposit when i pass i will take my test, insurance then rockets to £2598 under the same circumstances. All abit complex but a few insurance companys are willing to take the risk.
