Intercooler Options on a Samurai 1.9 TD motor

I have quite a simple question

Iam at the moment got my eye on a 2001 Suzuki SJ Samurai 1.9 D spanish inport seems to have
the Peugeot based XUD9 diesel turbo engine rated at about 62BHP (c/o wikipedia)

question is has anyone actual experience on intercooling this engine??

Peugeot produce a intercooled 1.9 TD motor for their 306 vehicle

If anyone has had experience would love to hear from them
did they use a std 306 intercooler??

first question is there enought space for a intercooler fitting in front of the normal radiator?

fully appreciate the pipe work would be a ad hoc construction

Having intercooled a p38 range rover and a 300TDI LR defender it certainly makes a difference
