Disk wear patterns - what wrong?

235/85R16 Maxxis Bighorns on 16" Rims, 4:1 Rocklobster, Rear ARB locker and on-board air

See the picture below, the disk is only "polished" in the centre band (as is the pad).

Just a stab in the dark, are the pads 'bowed' so that just the centre of the pad is in contact with the rotor?

They have been on about a year, but that is only about 200 miles of driving.

MUD!
When you've filled it all up with mud the pressure on the pad is more in the centre so when you brake the centre of the pad touches the disc first whilst the est of the pad is still clearing muddy watery grinding past out of the way which is doing what it does best to the pad as it does so.
I had it on my old SJ and now get it on the Jimny - a new set of pads will sort it and clean the disc up - until the next time!
