yes.!

Be honest though, I would only my spare to "Get me home" .. snf certainly wouldnt run different sized tyres any longer than I had to.

we run 215x80x15's and still have the origional 205x70x15 on the back

on the subject of the spare tyre, how does the spinny nut come off?

Also you think a 215/75 mud will fit on the door on a 15x7 modular?

I don't know about the spinny nuts.if it's the spare tyre cover it has one nut to hold it on set in a hole in the cover.
About fitting 215/75 on back door, why don't you try one of your wheel+tyres on the back door, if you need more room at the back of the tyre you could take the rubber door stop off or cut them down, mind your window wiper.

hope this helps,BAZ.B)

Bits4vits used to do a spacers for the spare wheel to move it out but I can't see them on his site now. I have one, its awesome. Otherwise a cheap wheel spacer.

The spinny nut might be a locking wheel nut to stop it getting picked. No good if you don't have the key.

I had to take the spinning ring off mine with a screwdriver and undo the nut with a pair if mole grips. You can buy tools to remove all locking wheel nuts in halfords. Great for a thief!

Locking wheel nuts are great until they knacker on the wheel :( One of mine has worn so that the special socket doesnt engage like its supposed to (its the nut and not the socket). I had an iffy valve on the tyre so decided to take it to my local tyre fitters and get them to take the dodgy nut off at the same time - their response - "dont know what your gonna do mate, we cant get it off if the socket dont fit it". I told them all what was needed was a halfrauds kit - "we dont have one, you'll have to take it to suzuki and see if they can help"!! They slapped a new valve in and it worked, but the nuts still on.

I've got no intention of going to suzuki and I no intention of buying a kit, i'm waiting until im back in the west country again (over xmas) and will be popping into the very helpful tyre fitters i used to use down there, who have definately got a set - they took 4 nuts of a previous car of mine in less than 10 mins and charged a tenner!! Does mean that santa has been asked for a new locking wheel nut set for xmas!!!

Ive seen those spare wheel mounts on ebay previous but they dont seem to be about at the moment. Failing that, cut the old mount off the door and reweld it slightly higher.

Another point to note, when i put AT2s on mine, i didnt have any problem getting the spare on the door, but did need to buy a new spare wheel cover, as the standard vinyl one wouldnt stretch over the new tyre, something i hadnt thought about

Its not a locking nut like on the wheels, just a chrome nut that spins?

Vaguely remember someone had the same problem earlier in the year - from what i can remember - the spinny bit is just a protective cap and just pulls off - you might have to use a set of mole grips to pull it off

That is a cover that pulls off somehow, there is like a bent lollypop stick in the toolkit for poking in the hole and firkling it out. The locking nut is underneath

There is also like a plastic socket with a springy push out centre that no-one can figure out.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

Thought so - just search for removing spare wheel - same set up as yours so should be the same solution
