Hi everyone,I own a 2012 Suzuki Jimny JB43 that has some problemsThe vehicle has the following modifications:
  • 2" Black Raptor suspension lift
  • 1" body lift
  • Lowered front suspension arms
  • Upgraded rear panhard rod
  • Black Raptor steering damper
  • 31x10.5R15 tyres on 10" wide steel wheels
Recently replaced front-end components:
  • 4 kingpin bearings
  • Kingpins
  • Preload shims
  • 2 track rod ends
  • 4 steering rod ends
  • Front panhard rod bushes
  • Anti-roll bar bushes
Current steering issues:
  • Steering wobble occurs at approximately 60–80 km/h.
  • The steering feels extremely light at about 40 - 100kmh.
  • There is some play in the steering before the wheels respond.
  • The vehicle has spun 180 degrees while driving a couple times and it frequently feels like it is about to do it again.
The steering wobble is still present despite replacing the components listed above. My questions:
  1. Could the very light steering and large dead zone be related to the steering box?
  2. Would 5-degree caster correction bushes help restore steering feel and stability?
  3. What else should I inspect, particularly regarding the front axle, wheel bearings, steering box and suspension geometry?
I would really appreciate advice from anyone who has experienced similar problems with a lifted JB43.Thanks!
