Oil leaking from rear was created by davidandped
My JB74 has been making a popping sound from the rear for a few weeks now. Thought I’d check underneath today and oil was peeing out of the rear, I’ve taken a video and tried to attach it to this post if anyone can advise me how to fix it! Thanks

That liquid looks a little too thin to be gear oil, I'd suggest you check the brake fluid reservoir ASAP.

I agree it looks thin for diff oil but with that much leaking there would be no brakes already
I would go for a diff that is full of water and oil, have you been wading it?

No, haven’t been off-road in it since the Big Jimmy meet, I did change the diff oil a few weeks ago and it was as clean as a whistle

Smell and feel the oil on your fingers, brake fluid is less lubricative if that is a word.
You may have leftovers from your gear oil change and can smell/feel if it is the same?
And/or smell/feel the brake fluid in the reservoir?
(I did not suggest "taste" here thank god..

Check that the breather on top of the axle is free and the level is correct. It could be a blocked breather is pushing oil past the shaft seal?
