Interior Reading Light Second Row Roomlamp Trunk Lamp Light For Suzuki 3 Door Ji

It’s great to be here. I recently bought a 4th-generation Jimny GL manual, and it doesn’t come with a rear reversing light as standard. Does anyone know if there’s any existing wiring for this? Can you just fit a generic light, or do you have to rewire everything? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum. I don't know specifically about the gl as we didn't get that exact spec in the uk but my lcv which is based on the lowest spec we did get does have the rear interior light so I would assume that your one probably has the wiring if not the light.

It's a fairly easy task to pull the clips that secure the back end of the roof liner and take a look inside - I don't think any wiring is visible on my GL, but, I'm not near the vehicle so I can't take a second look.

Well, I removed the Clips, indeed a easy task to do. No wiring visible. Maybe atached to one of the sides...

Thanks for your awnser and time. The basic model we have here in Argentina is an chilenian import. A very basic model you surely don´t have in Europe. How much money can you save by omiting a second row roomlamp. Come on Suzuki!!

You can get these from AliExpress, I got one for a project I'm working on. My SZ5 has the OEM light in the rear as standard.

As you can see the AliExpress one is very similar to the OEM one


The rear, it does seem it will fit in the hole in my roof lining and metal bracket behind. Does yours have the bracket in place, so you just need to cut the headlining?


Connections:
1 - Connects to the plug that goes to the front interior light.
2 - Connects to the front interior light.
3 - Connects to the new rear light.
