I had this same problem. The tie down piece decorated, the chassis was perfect. I bough just the tie down piece, from a scrapyard. Took the old one with a grinder. Pay a guy to weld it and a bodyahop to Paint it. It stay perfect during all this time (10 years).
Thanks for that! This is reassuring to know. So it boils down to how much a welder and painter would charge for the work. Do you know if it requires the removal of bumper and exhaust first?
