Upgrades for best possible braking experience? - Gen3

My daughter is due to be swapped out of a 2023 KIA Picanto into my 2016 Jimny (both auto's) - she's driven it a couple of times and loves it, but is nervous about the braking performance on the Jimny - understandable as the brakes on a modern car are super-sensitive/light touch
What could I consider to upgrade the brakes on the Jimny - forum recommends EBC pads and discs - what about the rear? anything else I could consider doing to prepare it for her to use?
Thanks!

I have green stuff in combination with black diamond discs currently, way better than standard. That said I would also recommend a fluid change unless it has been done recently. You could also look at stainless braided flexible lines. Then there's are rear disc conversions and also front vented discs are an option with new calipers, Martin does these as a kit in the shop above. The thing is with the last 2 options is they are more about heat management than absolute stopping power, meaning you can stop hard more often without boiling the fluid. It's worth noting that the discs are basically the diameter as the vw transporter van apparently so in reality are quite big for the size of the car. Also and arguably the most important thing is to make sure you have decent in date tyres with an appropriate tread design for the majority of your driving. A factory tyre nearing 10 years old even with some remaining tread isn't going to be able to brake as well as a new tyre just as a new mud tyre is not going to brake as well as a highway pattern especially if it's raining.
