Yeah im not too worried about the shafts and CVs in the front there already upgraded longfeilds and even RCVs are available which are even stronger but the high pinion 2 pin front diff could be the issue here. I ran very aggressive 33s on my samurai with 1.6 16v and used to smash stock CVs but never borke a diff. I eventually went to LJ70 axles and never broke anything after that even with some serious abuse.
I would like some chromo rears shafts but there very mixed reviews on the Longfield rears and i cant find any others. Theres alot to be said for staying on the suzuki axles if i can make the survive. There light and have very good clearance with the small diffs it becomes a case of bigger axles need bigger tyres and so on. Y61 axles are kind of the standard now in the comp scene and 38s are becoming the normal.
As for the transfer box a friend of mine ran a buggy with the exact same engine setup as me with y61 axles and 37s and a rock lobster samurai case lasted for years until eventually even with the spine and cradle he split the thing almost in half he was doing some pretty hardcore comps so hopefully mine will last a while.

but back on topic there are different high steer kits for the samurai knuckles that would, if it fit the jimny axle, move the rods forward on the axle.
would most likely interfere with the panhard rod i guess.
I would presume these would be easier to fit than the samurai knuckels, and also would be more out of harms way doing offroad.
I did bend mine once when doing offroad with the SJ as it has the rod up front a bit too low for driving stupid.
Just google "samurai high steer kit"
As i said, no idea if it would fit the Jimny.

Thanks that's a good idea, Most of them seen to mount to the brake calliper mounting points which I think are the same. Either way its actually a nice idea I'm sure I could draw something up to make that work just have to check for interference with the Panhard as you said.
