[object Object] My friend has a 2023 Suzuki Jimny with a 2.5-inch Old Man Emu lift kit installed. He now wants to upgrade to a higher lift and is offering to sell me his current kit. I own a 2015 Jimny – will this lift kit fit my model without issues, or are the suspension setups different between the two generations?
Obviously I'm not 100% sure but I know the stock suspension is the same and people have put Gen 4 Stock suspension on a Gen 3 (I sold mine to a Gen 3 owner) Therefore I would assume you can use a lift kit from a Gen 4 on a Gen 3 aswell. The only part that you wouldn't need from the Gen 4 kit would be the headlight light levelling kit.
If all you're interested in is having it fit, then yes, it will fit, however, it won't be optimized for your car.
OME does not sell a 2.5 inch lift kit for the Jimny, and they do not sell a lift kit per se, they sell a suspension upgrade with components that are selected for the task at hand, with loaded vehicle weight being the deciding factor.
For the gen 4 I think you can choose between three different coils & two shocks for the front, and the same for the rear, with an approximate increase in ride height of 40mm, not 64mm (2.5 inches).
Whatever your friend has, if it's 2.5 inch lift, it's either not OME, it's not OME the way OME would select their suspension, or it's not OME alone, and fitted to a lighter Gen 3, the ride quality would be questionable.
