Body mount rust repair

Hi all, I’ve recently acquired a 2000 Jimny, which has just failed its MoT on rust to two body mounts and the rear crossmember. Does anyone have any tips for how to sort the body mount? They’re the middle ones (I think), just in front of the rear wheels.

Can these holes be patched or is it better to replace the whole unit. If the whole thing should be replaced, how do you do it? Many thanks, from a new Jimny owner with a hint of buyer’s remorse…

Welcome to the forum. I would expect that to become quite a bit worse once it is cleaned up to good metal so it may well be that the whole thing will need replacing anyway. Good luck.

Pictures are chassis
Firstly can you do the work yourself?
If not I would say source the mounts from a donner chassis
Then find someone who can do the work
You maybe able to plate up what you have but like Lambert says it could be a lot worse when cleaned up

You could try lamberts engineering for donner parts
