Gen4 reverse camera connection

Gen4 reverse camera connection was created by Karlos
I'm trying to fit an aftermarket reversing camera, however the head unit connection is different to any guide I have been able to find online. In previous models the green plug on the adapter cable plugged directly into the back of the head unit. On this model there is a matching green socket on the harness, but it only has 2 wires, whereas the plug on the adaptor cable has 4 and if I connect the 2 nothing happens in reverse. The head unit does have a video in RCA connection, but again nothing happens if I connect the camera to this. The camera is powered when in reverse.
Any help with how to connect would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My Gen 4 came fitted with the genuine Suzuki reverse camera so I haven't seen it myself, but forum member Soeley fitted one to his Jimny, although he did use a genuine Suzuki camera, see these two threads, they might help

The last link shows the rear of the head unit, it is significantly different to yours, I know we use a Bosch SLDA, but yours is stamped 'Directed' and looks like a completely different unit, so any experience we have in the UK might not be valid.
Hopefully someone from your way will jump in with the info you need.

That's in the UK/European markets, with the Bosch head unit. If it is the same in Oz with the Directed head unit, that could be your problem.

As noted on pg 2 in this thread DrRobin linked to, the Gen4's head unit camera circuit is not compatible with standard aftermarket cameras.www.bigjimny.com/forum/6-jimny-chat/6478...n-4-reversing-camera

Thanks for the replies.
Starting to look like I may have to go the genuine rout, which is fine.
It seemed like it would be straight forward as an RCA to Jimny adapter cable was readily available, there were tutorials online - just not for my model it turns out.
I'll hold out for a bit longer in case someone out there has the solution, but if I have to get Suzuki to fit one then so be it.
Cheers
