Gen 3 2006 M13a EGR help was created by 1300re
Hi all
I have a 06 Jimny m13a. I have been getting a P0401 fault (EGR insufficient Flow detected).
I tested the pins on the EGR its self and replaced due to low resistance between pins f & e as per the manual.
The motor is standard but it does have a set of extractors on, which i'm not sure but may be contributing to the low flow.
When the valve was out i started the car thinking i would hear the exhaust gas coming through the port or at least be able to feel it but i couldn't.
Any help would be appreciated.

- Does anyone know if at idle with the EGR removed i should be feeling the exhaust gas ?
- its it likely that the port is blocked ? If it is blocked is is best to clear it via the EGR from the back of the motor or remove the exhaust manifold ?
- Would the increased exhaust flow due to the extractors being installed be contributing to a low flow at the EGR ?
- or am i missing something ?
Any help would be appreciated.

Do the headers have an EGR passage between the #4 port and the EGR passage in the head?
You should be able to feel and hear the exhaust gasses with the EGR valve removed.
