Just purchased 2023 jimny tyre advice

I have just purchased a stock 2023 uk jimny  with stock dunlop tyres
I am finding this a nightmare to find tyres I want to replace so here goes
Stock ride height no messing around .
Tyres on now are 195  60 r15 s96
I want sum tyres that mainly road use and only  gravely  mudy lanes if we get caught out
my budgets  around 500 pound for 4 plus I can get them fitted
As said no messing  lifting etc so dont want tyres to catch
please can someone  help on a tyre choice  that looks good a slightly bit bigger and wider  and  will do for wat i explained above

I am at a loss of all the tyres on internet that I no most will not fit my jimny and i am green as the hills on this subject

You can go up to 215/75/R15 safely without doing anything to the car. I would look for an all terrain tire for the usage you are intending. BFGs & Geolanders seem to be popular choices but I don't know what fits within your budget.

Should be a few options in 215/75/R15 around. Try black circles. Not that their website is not good at showing all the options for the request size, you often have to resort to searching based on brand

Congrats on your new purchase, I am sure you are going to love it.

I think your stock tyres will be 195/80R15 (rather than 195/60 as stated).

There are a reasonable number of AT tyres in 195/80/R15 and a lot more in 215/75R15 to choose from without getting too expensive.

If you change to 215/75R15 the diameter is only 1.5% different, however, it is much wider so has more grip and to be honest looks better in the wheel arches.

As Martin mentions look on Blackcircles or better still just put in 195/80R15 AT tyre or 215/75R15 AT tyre and see what comes back.

I started with Geolandar's, I would describe them as 80% road, 20% off-road, but have a great tread pattern for winter roads, white stone roads and the odd muddy puddle.

I then fitted Hancook Dynapro, they have more of an off-road tread but still mostly road based and ran these side by side with Maxxis Worm-drives up until I swapped from a Gen 3 to Gen 4 and then went with Maxxis Worm-Drives all of the time.

If you are worried about tyre sizes 195/80R15, 205/70R15 and 215/75R15 will all fit without modification and you can compare sizes using tiresize.com/tyre-size-calculator/

If looks are important, I think the look of 215/75R15 fills the wheel arches out better and looks more the part, even if it is just used on the road.

I had Bridgestone Dueler AT002 in 195/80R15 and they were very good.  Look much better than Geolandars, too.
