Hi
On my newly acquired toy
I just discovered some annoying squeaking in my 2003 jimny
after investigating the body mount right rear seem to be rusted pretty bad.
what are the best repair options, are there some ready made panels for this ?
chassis looks ok but rear body is pretty rusty.

That all looks fairly badly corroded. I would imagine it will need dismantling and repair patches made where necessary.

Hi,
I had the same problem and bought these parts from Jimnybits:
www.jimnybits.com/62130-81aa4-genuine-fl...inr-98-18-no-15.html
www.jimnybits.com/62211-81a00-genuine-ex...-rh-98-18-no-19.html
www.jimnybits.com/62311-81a00-genuine-ex...-lh-98-18-no-20.html
www.jimnybits.com/62511-81a01-genuine-fl...ter-98-18-no-21.html
www.jimnybits.com/62141-81a00-genuine-br...ket-98-18-no-16.html
I also got 2 new rear body mount rubbers as the original ones had a metal plate on top that was corroded away:
www.jimnybits.com/genuine-cushion-body-m...ody-bushes-no-3.html
It wasn't too difficult when I figured out how to weld The worst in my opinion was to find and drill / grind out the spotwelds.
Then when you first start to do something like this you will probably find some more rust.
Here you can read about my struggles:

good luck!

l didn't realise there were so many ready made repair patches available for the Jimny!
How's the other side, is it in a better state? Time to get some rust proofing products on the underside once you've repaired it.

Ok repairs are underway see pics, i purchases 2mm steel plate for the main attachment and 0.8mm for for the mounting for the trunk that was rusted aswell.
will add more pics as the repairs continue.
@Lightning The other side does not have alot of rust and the mounting plate seems fine, but i think it might be good to try to strengthen it somehow since the bumper is off.
