Inner covers on rear bumper

On the above video, the Gentleman removes some clips to remove an inner cover from the rear bumper, to gain access to the 3 nuts that hold the tail lights.

It's at 01:02.

None of the Gen 4s I've seen have it, but it is certainly a plus, keeping mud and dirt out from the bumper's guts.

Can anyone please shed a light on this?

Thank you so much!

My UK model does not have this cover but it does have a protection cover that seems to be integral with the lamp itself

They are an aftermarket part that he got from Suzuki for 310 euro.

Innenschalen rundum    Suzuki   310 €

He doesn't give any more detail, like a part number, and I can't find them. There are some aftermarket fronts about, but no rears (which would be more useful).

Thank you all.

Could it be part numbers 72811-78R00 + 72821-78R00?

Thank you all.

Could it be part numbers 72811-78R00 + 72821-78R00?

Could be, 72821 is Left rear 72811 is Right, they seem very expensive though, and I'd like to see what I'm getting first.

Odd that I can only find them on those German & French sites, you'd think they'd show up a lot more.

Maybe Martin can find out more.

Hi, I just came across your post.

I have the ones that you show from the Suzuki parts catalog on my new Type 3 where they are fitted standard from the factory, only on Type 3s not Type 1s or 2s. However they do not cover as much of the wheel arch as the Suzuki Russia ones, which I also have but have not fitted yet, so I can confirm that they are definitely not the same. In the first photo you can see the 72811-78R00 and I have highlighted the additional area which is covered by the Suzuki Russia ones:

Here are some other photos of the Suzuki Russia ones fitted on another Jimmy, including the fronts which are fitted in place of the standard factory liners to provide more coverage (ignore the mudguards which are an additional Suzuki Russia item which I did not take):

if you're interested in these the part numbers for the more rigid, but elastic mudguards (which are also unaffected by cold temperatures) are Front 2 pcs. 990NM-78R10-000 and Rear 2pcs. 990NM-78R20-000:

To be complete I should point out the the Suzuki Russia ones also have sound deadening felt applied to the tops of them which are not on the factory ones, on the front at least since I will not know about the rears until I remove mine.
