Upgraded speakers on gen 4, now no sound

Folks, as the title states, I purchased the suzuki upgrade kit for my new LCV Jimny and fitted 13cm pioneer speakers on the front. There was a noticeable improvement in sound over the originals, so happy camper. But then a week or two later the sound just stopped through the speakers, radio, media, phone etc, nothing at all. I thought it might be a fuse but the next day I it was working again so definitely not a fuse. A few days ago, the same thing, no sound and it hasn't worked since. Surely both speakers can't be faulty and one would go first but not at the same time? Any possible suggestions before I take the panels off again and start ripping out speakers?! The head unit is turning on as normal and I can use the Bluetooth to make phone calls but the sound just cones through the phone.

Sounds like a pinched or chafing wire to me?

I am starting to see people reporting apparent issues with the head unit on very recent LCVs. Its the same unit that has been used since the original SZ4 but recently people with new LCVs seem to have issues. My LCV was in the very first batch a couple of years ago and has been fine.
