30kg load is about what Suzuki specify and that includes the bars or rack. The rail ends are plastic to make sure you don’t overload the roof.
If you swap these for brackets like Lambert then you could carry more, but I think Suzuki didn’t want any more weight up there in case it causes stability issues.
A tow bar rack would be best, except the spare wheel often gets in the way.
