Rear Axle Half Shaft or new Axle?!

Rear Axle Half Shaft or new Axle?! was created by Beut834
Evening all,
My youngest son had a 2007 Jimny, 1.3 VVT, he recently spun it on a mini roundabout (hit some oil) and the rear off-side wheel hit the kurb. The impact bent the rim of the alloy wheel and broke the rear panhard rod which I've replaced, but it now has a rear off side wheel wobble.
Initially I thought he had buckled the alloy, but I have swapped it out with the spare and the problem remains. I now think he must have bent the rear axle half shaft as I cant think what else it could be? Problem is, I can't find one for love nor money, save for one in Japan that will cost me £150 postage on top of the part at £180. I have found a complete replacement axle on FB marketplace for £300, it is from a 2014 Jimny, has only covered 30k and looks in great nick!
Question is, would that fit my son's car? Or is there something I haven't thought of?
Thanks in advance everyone!

As long as they are both abs axles they will swap. The only difference is going to be the brake pipes, your 07 will feed via one flexible pipe into the driver side slave cylinder which then feeds the passenger side via hard line, you will need this slave cylinder. The 14 is fed by 2 flexible pipes so that the traction control can brake individual wheels. 13/14 was a change over year so you might be lucky.

I think most Jimnys sold here in 2014 didn't have stability control. My car didn't. It seems to have been announced in late 2014, looking at Google.

Thank you! As suspected, I am already out of my depth in terms of competency and understanding!
Here is a picture of the axle, does this look like it will pose the problems you mention? Is the slave cylinder on my old axle and can I fit it to the donor?
Really appreciate you taking the time to respond!

Thank you!
Is that good news for me? Or a problem?
Apologies, I'm not very technical! Thanks for taking the time to help.

While it's not a good picture it does look to have a hard line linking the brake cylinders so that is good.
