I am going to put some slightly smaller tyres on my Jimny as there is more choice of performance road tyres. I used the Wiki tyre info and it shows they will fit. Has anyone any real world experience?

When I was circuiting my last Jimny my list of preferred options was topped with Yokohama ad08rs' in 225,50r16 on Vitara wheels. Way more sticky than any Jimny really needs and better for acceleration too.

Not exactly that size, but I briefly ran some fairly sporty 195/55r15s on my Jimny and the handling was shocking. The massive increase in grip and sidewall stiffness combined with the soft standard suspension was quite a dangerous combination. If you turned remotely hard it felt like the axle was going to leave the body behind. The reduced weight and smaller diameter definitely improved acceleration though.
